About the Kalorama

Luxurious living inspired by history …

Five generations ago, the Reily family named their picturesque home in Northern Louisiana, The Kalorama (meaning “a beautiful view”). The estate was a hidden oasis of elegant living, surrounded by lush, green countryside, towering oak trees, winding waterways, and the charm of the South. Inspired by their ancestral home, the Reily family has created its own version of this elegant living right in the heart of New Orleans’ Warehouse & Arts District.

The Kalorama is at the site of the original Wm. B. Reily Coffee Roasting Plant at 700 Magazine Street. Each day, horse-drawn carriages would bring raw coffee beans into the building. The beans were roasted, ground, and packaged for market right on the site. Staying true to the family’s roots, The Kalorama is located directly across the street from the newly renovated original office building of Wm. B. Reily Companies.
